Serenity finished helping April in the kitchen and left to go find Gabe. Not that he was that hard to find. She walked in their bedroom and slowly opened the door, not wanting to wake him. She was surprised to see him already awake and crawled in the bed with him.

"Who you talking to, love?" She asked as she planted a kiss against his cheek.

Finished with things in the kitchen, April headed out the cabin and took a seat on the porch. She reached over and gave one Ally's dog a pet on the head, the action caused the dog to get up and lay closer to April, it's head in her lap.

"How are you feeling, April/" Splinter asked once April was seated.

She looked up at Lexi and Splinter with a tired smile. "I'm alright. Still having a little pain now and then, but i'm doing much better. Have either of you seen Casey?"

The past few months weren't all that bad for Angel. She spent a lot of time in the hospital with April, and was thankful that she pulled through she couldn't even imagine the pain the poor woman must have been going through.

She and Kelly moved in together in his apartment. She was a little sad to be leaving Casey's place but very excited to be moving to a new place. Her and kelly tried dating and it last a few months, but in the end they both felt they were better off friends.

Angel was also working at Casey's job. Doing paper work and stuff. It was boring most of the time but it paid good.

Today Angel was off and her and Kelly decided to head to the farm house to see the guys. The driver was longer then it should have been due to them getting lost. But they finally made it and pulled up to the house.

Angel hopped out of the car and walked straight to Lexi and the baby. Kelly got out the car and lit a cig. He then headed to were the kids where playing and sat down.

Angel reached out and softly rubbed the baby's cheek. "he's getting so big, and he's so cute. can I hold him?"

Kelly also had a good few months. He quit the gang and got a full time job as a butcher. The pay was very good and he was able to move into a new apartment which he now shared with Angel.

Getting to the farmhouse was a bit of a chalange. Angel couldn't remember exactly were it was at and they got turned around a few times. But finally they were pulling up to the little cabin.

He got out of the truck and looked around. His first thoughts were how was so many people staying in the small building. But the sight of Ivy and Belle playing caught his attention and he sat down next to the kids.

"What are you two up to?" He asked them.

"We're picking flowers wanna help?" Belle told him and handed him one of her flowers.

Kelly took the flower and tucked it behind his ear. "I have a better idea. come with me." He got up and lead the girls back to his car. He then pulled out a camera and showed it to the girls. "Why don't you take pictures of the flowers. That way the flower can live and you can have the picture for ever."

He handed the camera to Belle who looked it over. it sounded like a good idea to her. Kelly walked them back to the where they were and showed them how to use the camera. He then walked with them to take pictures of all the flowers.

It has been seven months since she had been with her new found friends and had seen a lot. So far her search for good water has come up empty but has enjoyed spending time with the turtles, and Angel, along with Kelly. They seemed like down-to-Earth people for her in many ways. She stuck around them more for company. Also liked the farm live that Casey had provided for them. It was a lot nicer than the city. Glancing over at the one named Donatello she wasn't sure if she should bother him about helping her. she knew how busy he had been as of late, and didn't want to put more on his shoulders. So lingered behind and waited for the right time to talk to him.

Splinter wrote:"Raphael and Donatello were my trouble makers. They were always getting into something. Michelangelo too, tho his antics were usally at home, The other two wondered about.Sometimes it was difficult to keep them in the lair."

Lexi was a bit surprised when Splinter told her that Donnie was one of his troublemakers. Raph, she was expecting, but Donnie...she couldn't help but grin. "I guess his curiosity would be hard to contain." She grinned. "I guess Leo has always been the angel of the bunch. And I'm sure Mike kept you on your toes... and Raph."

It was rare to get Splinter out of his solitude, and she was hoping to hear some baby stories of the guys. "I bet it was hard, raising four boys on your own.." She commented, relieved that Phoenix was finally sleeping soundly, still suckling his thumb. "But, I think you did an amazing job with them." She grinned. "They're some of the most amazing and respectful young men that I've ever had the honor of knowing. I think all dads could learn a thing or two from you."

Just then, April joined them on the porch, and she greeted the woman with a soft grin, glad that she was finally doing better. They had all been through so much. When she asked about Casey, she nodded in the direction of the old barn. "I saw him go that way earlier. Said something about doing some repairs on his truck."

As she glanced in the direction of the barn, she noticed Kelly and Angel pull up. She and Angel had had their differences before, but Angel had apologized, and she seemed to be trying to straighten up. She smiled at the girl as she sat beside her, but was a little reluctant to pass Phoenix over since she had just done the impossible and gotten him to sleep. But she finally gave a small nod.

"Okay.. just try not to wake him. He was awake all night.. guess he's going to be nocturnal like his daddy."

April got up and brushed herself off. "Thanks." She told Lexi and hurried over to the barn. She walked inside and looked around. "Casey?" She hated the barn, it was old and falling apart, and there were spiders everywhere. "How can you stand it in here?"

"Leo wasn't always the good child tho he tried his hardest. He would often follow his brothers out of the lair to go explore. Tho I suspect that he did so to make sure they didn't get in too much trouble. He was always trying to watch out for his brothers, and would even take the blame for them."

Splinter smiled at the memories. "Raph hated that Leo was so protective of them. He would do things just to set Leo off. Raph never liked being cooped up in the lair, he would run off to go look for little fights with rats and bugs. A few times I caught him heading topside, luckly I had the habit of silently following them when they wandered off."

"Don's need to learn about all things would get him in trouble. He would come running back to the lair because something bit or stung him. Of course that would prompt Raphael to want to beat up what ever had hurt his brother."

"Then there's Mikey. He would follow his brothers everywhere, it didn't matter what they were doing or how much troble he thought he would get into. As long as he was with his brothers. And of course he was always playing some kind of trick on Raph, or getting into Don's things. Leo would try to set him straight but it never sunk in."

Splinter looked over at the sleeping baby. "It was hard sometimes but every moment was worth it, i'm quite proud of how they have grown."

Post by Michelangelo on Sun Apr 22, 2012 8:45 am

The last seven months definitely had their ups and downs. While Mike hadn't accompanied his brothers on the tower rescue, he still had his own wounds to deal with, thanks to their previous run in with the Foot... and his 'tangle' with the cruel razor wire. It took him a few months to heal, but even now his leg still gave him trouble. Some days were better than others, and some days... well, he liked to play the 'poor-injured-turtle' card to get out of training... or whenever he wanted a little TLC. It only seemed to work on the girls, though. Well, a few of them.

He had stayed faithfully by his father's side as the old rat recovered from nearly fatal injuries. It was hard seeing him like that, and there were times when they thought that he wouldn't make it, but it seemed fate was willing to cut them a break. It was a darn good thing, too. Because Mike just wasn't ready to give up his father. Even after Splinter had proven that he was going to live, Mike couldn't help being clingy. It took him a while, but he finally managed to convince himself that he could venture away from his father's side.

Mike had really gotten attached to his little nephew. It would definitely be fun having a little squirt around. He found great amusement in watching the little one learn how to stand, and take unsteady steps. Obviously he was still too young to completely master the art of walking, but it was a start.. and enough to help him get into things. He gradually got better, and the better at walking he got, the more trouble he seemed to get into. Nothing was safe from his tiny little grasp.. unless it was out of the toddler's reach.

Mike really enjoyed the farmhouse. It was nice to be able to walk around freely and take in the fresh air and feel the sunlight. But, after awhile.. he began to get bored with no comic book and video game stores to keep him occupied. He would often explore the woods, and had discovered the Hatchett farm months ago. At first, he observed the place with a healthy amount of cautious curiosity. He would set perched high in the branches of a nearby tree, watching the farm animals scurry about. But one day, the heavenly aromas of fresh baked apple pies cooling in the window seal became too much to ignore. He tried to suppress his urges, but ended up swiping one of the pies.. and with it developed an unhealthy habit of food swiping. Perhaps it stemmed from the harshness of their lives before they were blessed with so many human friends to help them out. He was getting too brave in his thieving, and had even ventured through the window once to grab a bag of oreos off the table.

...but today, all food was safe. Mike's gaze was fixated on something else. Something small and cute and fluffy scurrying along the Hatchett's yard. A clutch of baby chicks, all adorning their newborn bright yellow feathers, and keeping ever so close to their plump mother. Dawww... sooo cute! I bet Phoenix would like to have one of those.. or two! He thought, and without much else thought he dropped from his tree and sprinted towards them, snatching up two of the now loudly tweeting chicks, and back into the woods he went. What he wasn't expecting was for the mother to give chase... and she was right on his heels!

"Zoinks!" He yelped, and rushed in the direction of Casey's farm, becoming entangled in briers and underbrush, but was always quick to find his feet again, and continued his desperate sprint towards the lake, not yet seeing Raph, Mondo or Aeris.

"...Help!!!" He cried out, as if a monster was after him, and not a seven pound angry bird...

Raph had already been removing his gear for his little cool-off swim when he heard Mike yelling, "Oh, now what, doofus?" he asked out loud and dodged out of the way from the chicken-turtle, shaking his head in annoyance. He had yet to see who the culprit was.

Don smiled softly at her. "It's coming along..." he answered then set his sketchbook aside. "I have a fe--" then he was cut off by Mike's screams, his own eyes widened and he jumped to his feet. "Mikey!" he shouted and went to go see what the commotion was.

The sight that greeted him made his worried expression turn into a very amused one. He lightly shook his head. "And just what in the world were you thinking of doing with those, Mikey?" He crossed his arms with the amused smirk still in place.

Aeris took a seat beside the lizard, considering his words. When he was normal... right. With so many mutants and an alien around, it was easy to forget that at least one of them had been a human at one point. But she remembered that he had been, though, she never knew the details, figuring it was something he didn't care to speak about.

"I guess it's a reptilian thing to like the sun." She offered a soft smile. "I guess you really miss being.." And like Donnie, she was also interrupted by Mike's high-pitched screams. She was about to spring to her feet in order to help him from whatever rabid animal was after him, so it was extremely comical to see a hen chasing after him. Seeing the two little yellow chicks in his hands, it was no wonder why the bird was mad.

"Just let the babies go, and she'll leave you alone.." She tried to reason with him, but he was already out of earshot by the time the words left her lips. Fortunately for the orange-clad turtle, Gabriel's pit bull heard the commotion and came rushing around back, giving the hen a whole new motive... run for her life! But not without getting a few good hits in on the dog. Jigs chased her back to the tree line, halting and snorting triumphantly as the hen disappeared.

Mike could hardly hear anything that was being said to him, but soon Jigs came to his rescue, and he could finally stop running. His leg was burning from the exertion, but he was just so relieved that the 'threat' was gone, he really didn't acknowledge it at the moment.

"I'm gonna give them to Phoenix." Mike answered Donnie, and checking to make sure the little chicks were okay. "Heh.. and maybe one for Fraya.."

A huge smile spread across Marley's lips, excited about his suggestion. It would be amazing. Not only would she have one wedding, but two! She couldn't contain the happy tears as Remey braided beautiful flowers into her hair. "I feel like I'm living a dream with you." She smiled. "Ever since I was little, I dreamed of what it would be like to find my Prince Charming.. and get married." She paused a moment, frowning at the memories of the direction her life had been heading in before Remey 'rescued' her.

"I never thought any of that would happen. Dice tried to break me. But...you're making all my dreams come true." She shifted enough to meet his gaze, wiping at the happy tears before catching his lips in a sweet kiss. "Thank you for making me feel like a Princess. I'm seriously the luckiest girl in the world."

Ally certainly didn't mind Leo's boldness. In fact, she rather enjoyed it. She snuggled against him and for the first time in months, she felt content. His arms were magical, and a much needed warmth. She rested her head on his shoulder, smiling at his suggestions. "I would like that." She told him, twirling one of his bandana tails around her finger.
