    Fan-Fiction: Worlds Collide [TMNT/ Transformers cross-over]

Post by Rogue on Thu Jun 14, 2012 2:10 pm

A/N: Really bored, and the need to write is really strong tonight. The idea of a TMNT/ Transformers cross-over has been eating away at me for some time now, and with this Transformers kick that has taken hold again, what better way to combine the two fandoms that I love!

This is based off the Transformers movie-verse, and CGI TMNT movie. I honestly don't know what direction this will go in, but the bunny has bitten, the infection spreading, and I must write. I don't know if you guys are Transformers fans or not, or if anyone even bothers to venture to this part of the forum, but if you happen to read, feadback is awesome!

    Chapter 1

It was another typical night for the Hamato brothers. They had  hit the roofs on yet another practice run, another boring practice run, if you were to ask the youngest turtle. It seemed Mr. Intensity was being.. well... intense! Normally Mike would whine and complain, but not tonight. He would go along, but had other plans entirely. It was the Fourth of July, and no doubt the city's dark skies would be exploding in brilliant colors.

"Yer laggin', Mike! Get yer shell in gear!!" Came the gruff voice of the red-clad turtle, irritated that his youngest brother had fallen behind. Obviously sight-seeing. Sure, the fireworks were pretty and all, but tonight had a whole different meaning for the hot-headed reptile. While most of the citizens were out taking in the festivities, the criminals would be taking advantage of their lack of attention. Burglary would go up. Rapes and murders, because the authorities would be unable to hear the desperate screams over the loud ground-shaking booms, and the cheers that usually accompanied them.

The youngest was snapped back to reality, catching the glare that Raph had thrown at him before shifting his full attention back to the path before him. Raph sprinted across the graveled roof-top, agilely clearing the space in between buildings and putting distance between them.

"Don't make me come back there, bone-head!!" His voice called, fading with its distance. Mike just rolled his eyes. Pffft. Raph wouldn't waste the effort. And if he did, well, Mike had nothing to worry about. He had always been the fastest of the four turtles, and by his definition... Raph was slow!!

Mike waited until his brothers were out of sight, then turned on his heels, a cheeky grin stretching across his features. The night was young, and most of the firework displays were just getting underway. There would be enough time to steal.. no..'grab' a few snacks and find a suitable place to perch.

'Heh... being a ninja definitely has its advantages.' He boasted to himself as he took a nice long sip of his Icee, and found a nice fire-escape balcony that had been abandoned for some time. He had visited this spot just last week, actually. Just more indication of how horribly he had been slacking as of late. It wasn't that he didn't care about the crime of the city. In fact, he loved being a hero and helping those who couldn't help themselves, but everyone needed a break every now and then. Besides, his brothers were out there taking care of all the evil.

Mike plopped down in the old tattered lawn chair that he had stationed on the balcony, popcorn at his side and icee positioned between his thighs. He gazed up in time to see a blue explosion illuminating the cloudless sky.

"Wow!!" The young turtle exclaimed to himself, honestly wishing that his brothers were there to enjoy the sights with him. He shrugged it off as the next display lit up the night, painting the black canvas with an explosion of purple, yellow, red... and silver...

At first, Mike thought nothing of the metallic streak that plummeted toward earth at break-neck speed, but as it cleared the usual atmosphere of the colorful displays, it definitely seemed out of place. The smoke following behind the object was even more cause for concern. Just what the heck was it? A small aircraft crashing due to the fireworks interferences? Surely nothing would be flying in this particular area during the festivities, right?? Of course emergency helicopters would still have clearance, but surely they would take a different path. Besides, the hospital was on the other side of town...

His thoughts were disrupted by the loud impact of the object catapulting directly into the river. His eyes went wide, fear welling up inside him. What if it was an aircraft, and the pilot was still on board? Without a second thought, the young turtle jumped from his chair, and slid effortlessly down the fire escape, breaking into a sprint as he headed toward the river....

    To be continued...

((A/N: I know, not too much happening here, but hopefully the next installment will make up for it.))

    Chapter 2

A half-hour had passed before any of the brothers had noticed that they were one short. In that time, they had interfered with a few would-be break-ins, a purse-snatching attempt, and helped a lost child find his parents. It was proving to be a very eventful night. No wonder no one seemed to notice that the orange-clad turtle was nowhere in sight.

"Um, where's Mikey?" Donnie finally asked, standing from his crouched position on a church roof's ledge. The sight of a comic book store and the lack of his brother's enthusiasm had highlighted the fact that the youngest was AWOL. Raph grumbled something beneath his breath, folding his arms in irritation. "I give you one guess.. and it ain't here." He popped off sarcastically.

Leo sighed in exasperation. It was hard keeping up with everyone, and honestly, he shouldn't have to 'baby-sit'. His brothers should be as motivated about their task as he was. They were a team, after all. All seemed on board.. except for Mikey. "I guess we better head back and get him." The leader informed, sheathing his katanas.

"Maybe we should just leave him." Raph grumbled. "Who knows, maybe he'll get himself into a situation.. that'll teach'im to stay close."

It was a tempting suggestion, but being the responsible one, Leo couldn't chance the 'what-ifs'. "Let's go." And he left no room for argument.

It felt like he had been running forever, however, he had reached the river in under a few minutes, despite its distance from his spot back in the heart of the city. It seemed that no one else had noticed, or if they had, they didn't care enough to investigate the falling object. Now more than ever, Mike was glad that he had been a 'slacker' tonight. It had put him in the right spot at the right time to make a difference to someone! But, how? The current was moving fast, and anyone in their right mind wouldn't go into the frigid water!

Aside from the moving current, the river seemed lifeless. There was no sign of whatever had fallen from the sky. The young turtle briefly wondered if he had imagined it, but that concept was quickly shattered when something finally broke the surface. A metallic arm reached for the far side of the bank, digging helplessly into the loose mud in an attempt to pull itself up. Mike squinted, his gaze fixated on the movement in the far distance. At first, it was hard to wrap his brain around what he was seeing, but then it materialized in his brain. An arm. A robotic arm! The fear of the unknown kept him frozen in place. Past experience with robotic things had never gone well!! But, what if whatever it was wasn't hostile? What if it needed help?

'Get a grip, Mikey. Robots aren't living things... they're puppets of mass destruction!!'

But all of his thoughts and fears were soon thrown into a blender of torn emotions when the shiny silver 'being' hoisted itself onto the bank, crumpling in exhaustion. Killer robot or not, the thing seemed helpless, and 'hurt'. Mike jumped into the water, completely submerging himself to the depths where the currents wouldn't sweep him away. Still, it took a lot of effort to reach the other side of the river, and even more effort to pull himself onto the bank.

"Don't.. evaporate me!!" The young turtle called out as he dropped to his knees a few feet away. "I come in peace.. and don't want to leave in pieces!"

The robot seemed lifeless at first, but finally cocked its expressionless face in the turtle's direction, every bit as curious about the creature as it was of him. Was he on the right planet? Had he made a mistake?? All of those bright colors in the sky had disoriented him. It was possible that the 'explosions' had interfered with his navigational systems. Great. Just what he needed. Optimus would be concerned over the delay.

The robot's fingers reached toward the creature, just as Mike extended a three-fingered hand in his direction. Each curious about the other. Both confused and slightly frightened.

"Are.. you an alien?" The turtle asked the question that mirrored the mute robot's thoughts.. his own unspoken words.

As their fingers touched, the robot jerked away. The last thing he needed was to be captured by this green man, who no doubt had an army hiding in waiting somewhere. He already had enough set-backs for tonight. But the noises of cars crossing the bridge off in the distance caught his attention. Whatever planet he was on was much like earth, so his usual disguise would conceal him. The robot scooted back until there was a safe amount of distance between them, and Mike watched in complete shock as the metallic being transformed, his delayed mind only registering a streak of yellow as it ran... no 'drove' off, leaving him in a cloud of smoke...

    "What... the... shell..."

    To be continued...
